10, 9, 8, 7…This marks day four of my ten-day countdown to the release of Mama, Me, & the Holiday Tree. Today we’re taking a look at the #HolidayTreeNovella playlist, which is anything but standard holiday musical fare.
So does a novella deserve its own playlist?
(Steps back to carefully consider warily side-eye you.) Why wouldn’t it? Every work within the Appalachian Elementals series is getting its own playlist, including the shorter ones. If anything, the smaller ones get lists because they need a friend, something warm to hold on to just like their big siblings get.

🤔 Yes, Mama, Me, & the Holiday Tree has its own playlist, but it’s not your typical holiday song playlist, and I’ve done this for a particular reason. Faith. Simple enough, right? No, not really. Nothing about faith is simple. And there are two paths/faiths/whatever you wish to call them in Mama, Me, & the Holiday Tree, namely paganism (in its broadest meaning) and Christianity. With that in mind, I made careful selections for the playlist. Each song is reflective of the chapter’s content but doesn’t focus on any one religion. Sure, at least one song focuses on both, but that’s okay. It was either both or neither where I was concerned.
Each song image is also a clickable link to that song within the playlist, but here’s a direct link to the Mama, Me, & the Holiday Tree Playlist.

2) Take That “Patience” – Cent needs some about now where Mama’s concerned.
