A Sociological Science Fiction writer by nature but a reader across the board. My stories are full of diverse— LGBTQ+, heterosexual, multi-cultural, differently-abled, and of color— characters who go on dangerously awesome adventures with their family and friends. Space-time surely isn’t filled with only straight, Caucasian Humans so why should the stories only be? The same can be said of my Fantasy stories. The more diverse a story is, the better. A queer fairy? You bet. An asexual elemental or a neuroatypical gnome? I call either of those a writing challenge.

My official, author bio is below.

Born and raised in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, Science Fiction and Fantasy author Jeanne G’Fellers has taught on both the secondary and collegiate levels, but she now devotes her time to writing. Her early memories include watching the original Star Trek series with her father and reading the stacks of books her librarian mother brought home. Jeanne’s influences include author Anne McCaffrey, Ursula K. LeGuin, Octavia Butler, Isaac Asimov, and Frank Herbert.

Jeanne’s first series, The Taelach Sisters Series, won two Golden Crown Literary Awards for excellence in Speculative Fiction and was short-listed for a Lambda Literary Award.
