Chapter Two: Striking Balance Mixed Media Journey

Today is Tuesday, July 22nd, and Striking Balance has been available for purchase for a single day. I created its one-of-a-kind companion mixed-media art book, the Striking Balance Mixed Media Journey to celebrate my tenth novel release, but creating the book has been more a personal challenge than anything. That said, I’m sharing the mixed media pages with you because the art created such as direct tie with the author’s, meaning my mind that it can’t help but enrich the reading experience.

Below you’ll find three opportunities to interact with the novel. First, you’ll see the chapter number and its corresponding epigraph. Second, you’ll find images including the book open to the chapter page, a digitally enhanced version of the same spread, and 1-2 detail pieces that may or may not be digitally enhanced. Lastly, you’ll see a link to the corresponding song from the Striking Balance playlist on YouTube then what, for now, I’ve dubbed first lines because they are exactly that, the first line or two from the chapter.

Today, we’re delving into Chapter Two.

The Devil Makes Three – “Come On Up To The House”

First Lines

“Good evening to you, Madam Alcott. Miss Charity. Miss Emeline.”

That’s all for today, my dears. Be certain to come back tomorrow for Chapter Three, and remember that I’m also on a blog tour so you can find out where I’m at by clicking HERE and scrolling to the chart. Everything’s listed by date so I’m easy to find.
