Chapter One: Striking Balance Mixed Media Journey

Release day! Striking Balance is now available for purchase. I’m both nervous and excited at once. A new novel, fun art. I’ve created the Striking Balance Mixed Media Journey Book to celebrate my tenth novel release, meaning it’s more a personal challenge than anything, but I’ve chosen to share its pages with you because the art creates such as direct tie with the author’s, meaning my mind, as I wrote the novel, that it can’t help but enrich the reading experience.

Below you’ll find three opportunities to interact with the novel. First, you’ll see the chapter number and its corresponding epigraph. Second, you’ll find images including the book open to the chapter page, a digitally enhanced version of the same spread, and 1-2 detail pieces that may or may not be digitally enhanced. Lastly, you’ll see a link to the corresponding song from the Striking Balance playlist on YouTube.

But first things first. Here’s the cover for Striking Balance alongside the Striking Balance Mixed Media Journey cover. Below that, you’ll find mixed-media the inner cover. And, finally, below that, we delve into Chapter One.

The Raconteurs- “Old Enough”

First Lines

“Nub? Where’d you go?” Conall pushes back his cocked hat to scratch his head, puzzled until he spies me standing above him on a bough.

That’s all for today, my dears. Be certain to come back tomorrow for Chapter Two, and remember that I’m also on a blog tour so you can find out where I’m at by clicking HERE and scrolling to the chart. Everything’s listed by date so I’m easy to find.
