I’ve got no words of wisdom or funny anecdote to share this week, so I’m cutting directly to the meat of the matter.
It’s time for #Rainbowsnippets*! I’m counting down the days to the release of Surrogate: Hunted on March 1st. And, while the days are ticking away, I am excited to announce that I’m hosting an ebook giveaway to celebrate the upcoming release. I’m giving away three copies of Surrogate: Hunted, your choice of three formats, on March 1st. To enter, click the image above. It’ll open a new tab with the Rafflecopter entry instructions.
The Setup: The safety Etain and Brigit had is long gone, and they’re on the run again, trying to reach a Znyrs community they’ve been told about. They’ve been running for days and are exhausted when this happens…
Snap!
Etain glanced back to see Brigit staring at a knee-high, black-and-white-speckled ptrrryl chick holding a broken bone in its beak.
“Nice birdie.” Brigit cringed when the chick dropped the fragments, flapped its wings, and hopped toward her.
Steady, girl. Etain turned and took a careful step toward the chick. If I can keep from its sight— she pulled her cuff knife.

So, clearly not the kind of “chick” that usually makes us go “aww.” 🤨

Oh, it’s fluffy and cute, I think, but big, and its parents are huge!

A world so beyond my imagination that it demands that I must read it soon!

Thanks. There are indeed complex worlds in this series. That’s one of the things I love best about it.

The chick is all the more terrifying that it’s cute.

Umm….I don’t think “here, chicky, chicky” is gonna work here. 🙂 I love the tension!

No, nice birdie didn’t work at all.
